• Conference attendance or accommodation.
• Projects that will primarily benefit for-profit businesses or commercial enterprises – except for social enterprises.
• Affiliation or membership fees.
• Retrospective expenses, on completed projects or events. 
• Uniforms, equipment, or assets that will not remain as your property.  
• Prizes, trophies, and awards ceremonies or events that offer more than nominal levels of prize money or financial benefits to participants.  
• Venture capital.  
• Endowments.  
• Alcohol and similar substances (e.g., kava).
• Industry, commercial or professional network groups.
• Corporate social clubs
• Research including large scale research plans, feasibility studies for capital project and health research.
• Vehicles which are for a single purpose.

There are no closing dates for this fund. Applications will be presented to the Trustees for consideration at their next bi-monthly meeting.

Your applications will require the following information:

• All questions answered in our grants management portal.
• A current Bank deposit slip.
• Signed resolution (signed by two authorised signatories).
• A budget.
• Annual accounts.
• Quote/s (if undertaking capital works or purchasing capital assets two quotes are required.)
• Any other information that enables us to make an informed decision about your application.

Additional information required may include:

• Undertaking an independent governance and/or operational review to assess that your systems are robust and your governance obligations are being fulfilled. This review will be required at regular intervals (minimum of 5 years since last review) and may be funded by us.
• Agreeing to a regular meetings with our CEO, senior managers and/or Community Advisor. 

If your application is successful, we will notify you in writing outlining why it was approved either in full or partially. Your names and the grant amount will be published in our next annual report.

Payment will be made by direct credit to your bank account within ten working days of when all conditions of payment are met. 

Applicants who receive a grant must report, on how the money was spent and the outcomes they delivered, within 12 months of receiving payment. These reports ensure accountability that a grant was spent efficiently and effectively on the purpose intended. They also allow us to keep learning, helping us assess similar grant applications in the future.

Your reports will be reviewed for:

• Compliance with the terms and conditions of your grant; and
• How well it has delivered on the expected results outlined in your application.
